Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Foxy Gardens handles information associated with foxygardens.org. It applies to website visits and direct editorial contact. It does not control independent websites linked as sources, equipment manufacturers, extension services, retailers, or other third parties.
Information processed automatically
Web servers and security systems may process IP address, time, requested URL, referring page, browser and device information, response status, and similar technical data. This information supports delivery, abuse prevention, error diagnosis, capacity planning, and aggregate performance measurement. Logs are not used to build a social-media profile.
Cloudflare may process connection and security data as the domain’s DNS, proxy, caching, and protection provider. Hosting systems may process comparable operational logs. Their handling is also governed by their own terms and privacy documentation.
Information you send
If you email [email protected], we receive the sender address, message, subject, timestamps, and any information or attachments included. We use it to review and respond to the request, investigate a correction or problem, prevent abuse, and maintain an editorial record where appropriate.
Do not send passwords, payment details, medical records, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive data. Foxy Gardens does not need those details to review a lawn or yard content question.
Cookies and local storage
WordPress and security infrastructure may use cookies that are necessary for administrators, abuse prevention, or preferences. Public readers do not need an account to access editorial guides. If privacy-respecting aggregate analytics are enabled, the configuration should minimize identifiers and avoid cross-site advertising profiles.
Foxy Gardens does not embed TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, or social follow widgets. This avoids loading their tracking code as part of the reading experience.
Affiliate links
A clearly disclosed affiliate link may contain a referral parameter or route needed to attribute a qualifying purchase. The destination retailer may then process information under its own privacy policy. Foxy Gardens does not receive your payment card number from an ordinary affiliate link. Read the Affiliate Disclosure for editorial rules.
Why information is processed
- Deliver requested pages and assets.
- Protect the site from spam, attacks, and misuse.
- Diagnose errors, broken routes, and performance problems.
- Respond to editorial and accessibility messages.
- Maintain legal, security, and operational records where needed.
- Measure aggregate use to improve the topic map and reading experience.
Sharing and service providers
Technical data may be processed by providers that support DNS, security, hosting, email, uptime, and aggregate analytics. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a legitimate business transfer. Foxy Gardens does not sell a list of reader email addresses.
Retention and security
Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, debugging, legal, and service purposes, subject to provider settings. Editorial email may be retained while the issue is active and for a reasonable record afterward. No internet system can promise absolute security, so data minimization remains the first control.
Your choices
You can read without creating an account, decline nonessential browser storage where controls are offered, avoid affiliate links, and email a direct source URL instead of an attachment. Depending on applicable law and the information held, you may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting [email protected]. We may need limited information to locate and verify a request.
Children
Foxy Gardens is general household yard information and is not designed to collect personal data from children. Equipment, pesticides, fire, excavation, and poison-ivy removal require adult supervision and the safeguards described by manuals, labels, and local rules.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when providers, features, or legal requirements change. The modified date on the page identifies a substantive revision. Material new tracking or advertising behavior should be described before or when it is introduced.
Privacy contact
Email [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject. Include only the information needed to explain the request.
Cons / downsides / risks
Honest cons, downsides and risks before you buy or change your setup:
- Context mismatch: a setup that works in one climate, kitchen, yard, or company stage can fail in yours — treat checklists as starting points, not guarantees.
- Upfront cost vs. maintenance: cheaper gear can raise replacement, energy, or labour costs; premium gear can still under-deliver if sizing is wrong.
- Skill and safety gaps: tools, chemicals, electrical loads, and legal entity choices carry real injury, waste, or compliance risks when rushed.
- Affiliate incentives: partner links exist on this site; a downside of any affiliate model is selection bias — we flag unverified claims instead of inventing metrics.
- Season and regulation drift: products, tariffs, and outdoor seasons change through 2025–2026; re-check labels and local rules on the day you act.
